Amlogic A311Y3 Octa Core Android 16 8 TOPS Edge Computing Solution
The Amlogic A311Y3 series is a high-performance computing platform built on a 6nm process, featuring a dual-core Cortex-A78 and hexa-core Cortex-A55 CPU architecture. Combined with G57 MC2 GPU, 8 TOPS NPU, 16MP ISP, 4K UI support, and rich display interfaces including DSI, DP, LVDS, eDP, N-by-1, and HDMI, it is well suited for AI vision, smart display, edge computing, and advanced multimedia applications. Supporting LPDDR4/4X/5/5X memory as well as Android and Linux systems, this series offers a flexible and powerful solution for next-generation smart Edge Computing devices.
Amlogic A311Y3 is an advanced application processor designed for a wide range of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Internet of Things (IoT). It integrates a high-performance CPU/GPU/NPU subsystem and supports high-performance edge processing, multi-standard video codecs and multiple high-resolution camera interfaces.
The chip also features robust AI capabilities, supporting text generation, image search, and other neural network-powered applications. This makes it a superior option for powerful edge AI processing directly on the device.
The main system CPU consists of a Dual-core ARM? Cortex? A78 and a Hexa-core ARM? Cortex? A55 CPU with L2 & L3 cache to improve system performance. In addition, the Cortex CPU includes the NEON SIMD co-processor to improve software media processing capability. It also integrates a NPU supporting int4/int8/int16/fp8/fp16/bf16 hybrid quantization inference for all mainstream deep learning framworks.
The graphic subsystem consists of two graphic engines and a flexible video/graphic output pipeline.
The ARM Mali-G625 GPU handles all OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.4 and OpenCL 3.0 graphic programs, while the 2.5D graphics processor handles additional scaling, alpha, rotation and color space conversion operations. Together, the CPU and GPU handle all operating system, networking, user-interface and gaming related tasks. The video output pipeline includes Dolby Vision Optional, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and Vivid HDR processing, BT.709/BT.2020/BT.2100 processing, motion adaptive edge enhancing de-interlacing, flexible programmable scaler, and many picture enhancement filters before passing the enhanced image to the video output ports.
Amlogic Video Engine (AVE-10) off-loads the Cortex CPUs from all video CODEC processing. It includes dedicated hardware video decoder and encoder. AVE-10 is capable of decoding 4Kx2K resolution video at 120fps with complete Trusted Video Path (TVP) for secure applications and supports full formats including MPEG-1/2/4, VC-1/WMV, AVS, AVS2, AVS3, MJPEG streams, AV1, H.264, H.265 and JPEG images. The independent encoder is able to encode in JPEG, H.265/H.264 up 4K at 60fps.
The processor integrates all standard audio/video input/output interfaces including a HDMI2.1a transmitter with 3D, Dynamic HDR (w/EMP), CEC and HDCP 1.4/ 2.3, ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), QMS (Quick Media Switching), QFT (Quick Frame Transport), SBTM (Source-Based Tone Mapping) supporting, 2 x 4-lane MIPI-DSI interface, 2 x 4-lane MIPI-CSI interface, multiple TDM, PCM, I2S, SPDIF and eARC/ARC digital audio input/output interfaces, and 8 channel far-field PDM digital microphone (DMIC) inputs.
The processor has rich advanced network and peripheral interfaces, including 2.5G+1G Ethernet interfaces, a set of multi-PHY for USB 2.0, USB 3.0, PCIe 2.0, PCIe 3.0 and multiple SDIO/SD card controllers, UART, I2C, I3C, high-speed SPI and PWMs.
Standard development environment utilizing GNU/GCC Android and Linux tool chains is supported.
